Dogs are a big part of many people’s lives, and it’s really no surprise as to why that is. With wet noses and waggy tails, they are always happy to see us and simply love us unconditionally.
A little over a year ago, the Trex Andalucia Sanctuary partnered up with Dog Trainer, Jane Kidwell, in providing dog training classes on a weekly basis.
Jane has been successfully training dogs in Spain for many years and we are happy to be able to provide a safe and clean environment for her classes. Plus we get to meet some great people and their furry companions!

At Trex we are very fortunate to have a great team of volunteers, and because of this, we are able to offer scrummy homemade cakes each week for our visitors. That includes anyone at Dog Training classes!
So grab yourself a tea, coffee, or cold drink and a slice of cake before or after your class! All proceeds taken on dog training days go towards our agility equipment.

Agility is both fun for dogs and handlers. It requires intense training and commitment. There’s lots of groundwork before using equipment as it can be hazardous if not respected.
We have been raising funds over the past year and are in the process of buying agility equipment for Jane to use in her classes. All owners and dogs wanting to train in agility need to have basic obedience and will be assessed to see if they are ready to participate.
All classes will run on a four-week plan.
Yes we do! If dog training classes are not what you are looking for then why not join us for an hour of doggy socialising?
Here are some reviews from people who have been coming to dog training classes at Trex with Jane Kidwell over the past year.
We’ve been attending weekly dog training with Jane since we got our rescue bodeguero puppy over a year ago. We’ve seen him make fantastic progress from the beginner puppy group, through intermediate and now in the advanced class.
We work on exercises that keep our dog engaged and focussed on the commands being given with the classes building with complexity over time. The sessions also provide a great opportunity for dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments to socialise in a safe and secure environment. In the future, we hope to progress to the agility course with Jane.
I started taking our puppy GSD to classes mainly to help socialise with other dogs but also found Jane’s classes so interesting and varied that we are still going 15 months later. Jane has a wealth of experience and is always at hand to guide and advise with training tips.
The classes are sometimes challenging but so much fun and rewarding. We have now progressed to the advanced class and are looking forward to trying out the proposed dog agility classes in the future. All in all would thoroughly recommend Janes’s dog training classes.
I’ve been training with Jane for nearly two years with both my dogs. Lexi who was frightened of the whole world, I didn’t like to venture past our front gate!
Chance, a big bolshie GSH/ cross.Lexi is now a very confident girl and I can take her anywhere. She works well in her obedience class and is often used for demonstration in the new beginner’s classes.
Chance works well both on and off lead, his obedience training is now at an advanced level.Jane is a super trainer and makes classes fun as well as getting results! She understands dogs and the importance of training the owners too! Highly recommend!
