Something rather unusual happened last week, a filmmaker named Luis, who was crafting a short film called “Hani,” reached out to us at Trex Andalucia.
Luis was looking for a dog to play a crucial role in his film. He had seen Remy’s picture online at “Trex Andalucia Sanctuary” and was enchanted by his light, warmth, and unique smile. Luis believed Remy was the perfect fit for the film!
Luis’s message read “Hello! I’m Luis, I was calling because we are making a short film in Almería called “Hani”, from a german production company. We are currently searching for a dog that could participate in some scenes. We found your page and we absolutely loved what you do, with the rescued animals, and we were wondering if you could be interested in collaborating with us with any of your dogs? They are gorgeous! We would like to use Remy? We could put your logo in the credits, and also place a note saying the dog animal was rescued by you, so it also could work as a shoutout!”
Upon receiving the wonderful news, we told Remy and watched his tail wag with delight! With his trusty chauffeur, Dave, Remy set off on his longest journey yet, to a film set – a sprawling landscape and renowned filming location, located 83 kilometers away in the Tabernas desert.
Remy traveled well and got to the set on time. Upon his arrival, Remy was greeted like royalty by the film crew and cast. Cameras were set up, lights brightened the scene, and Remy’s heart raced with anticipation. This was his time to shine!
As the filming commenced, Remy was introduced to the young actor who would play the lost boy he needed to find in the film. Instantly, everyone on set fell in love with him. After all, how could they resist his charming eyes and wagging tail? Under the direction of Luis and with the encouragement of delicious sausages, Remy leaped into action.
Throughout the day, Remy effortlessly stole the show with his playful spirit and gentle soul.
When the filming wrapped up, a glowing message from Luis brought joy to Jean’s heart. “Hello Jean! We absolutely loved Remy. He’s the dearest, kindest with everyone on set, and we all wanted to hug him all day! He did all his scenes as planned! It almost seemed like he was a trained dog actor with a little bit of sausages as reward of course! Hahaha!”
Remy arrived back home having completed two days of filming. He made 200 euros which will go to the animals here at Trex, and perhaps a little treat for himself, afterall, he did all the hard work!
We are looking forward to the final production of the film “Hani”, so we can share it with all of Remys fans!
